Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how the ForexWise mobile application (the "App") handles information. It applies to the App published on Google Play under the name ForexWise. By installing or using the App, you agree to the practices described here.

1. Who we are

The App is published by ForexWise ("we", "us"), the data controller for the purposes of this policy. You can reach us at:

2. Information we do not collect

We want to be specific rather than vague. We do not collect, request or process:

• your name, email address, phone number or any other contact details;
• account credentials, broker logins or API keys;
• payment card details or bank information;
• your precise or approximate location;
• contacts, photos, camera, microphone or files on your device;
• any personally identifiable information of any other kind.

The App requests no runtime permissions beyond network access, which is used solely to download exchange rates as described below.

3. Information stored on your device

To work as a calculator, the App saves a small amount of data locally:

• Your preferences — account currency, default leverage, default risk percentage, theme and similar settings.
• Your recent inputs — the values you last entered, so that fields are pre-filled the next time you open a calculator.
• Cached exchange rates — so that the App continues to work without a connection.

This data never leaves your device. It is not transmitted to us or to anyone else, it is not backed up to any server we control, and we have no ability to access it. Clearing the App's data or uninstalling the App removes it permanently.

4. Exchange rate data

The App periodically downloads publicly available foreign exchange reference rates so that calculations can be expressed in your chosen account currency. This is a one-way request for public market data. No information about you, your device or your calculations is sent with that request beyond the technical information any internet request necessarily includes, such as your IP address, which the rate provider may log under its own privacy policy.

Exchange rates are provided for information only and are not trading quotes. They may differ from the prices offered by your broker.

5. Analytics, advertising and tracking

The App contains no advertising, no analytics SDK, no crash-reporting SDK and no tracking or advertising identifiers. We do not build user profiles, we do not use cookies in the App, and we do not share, sell or transfer any data to third parties, because we do not hold any.

Google Play may independently collect aggregate statistics about installs and crashes as part of operating the store. That processing is governed by Google's Privacy Policy and is outside our control. We receive only anonymous, aggregated figures through the Play Console.

6. Children

The App is a general-purpose utility intended for adults and is not directed at children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect information from children. Since the App collects no personal data from anyone, no such information can be gathered inadvertently.

7. Your rights

Privacy laws such as the GDPR and the CCPA give you rights to access, correct, export or delete personal data held about you. Because we hold no personal data about you, there is nothing for us to retrieve, amend or erase. You retain full control of the locally stored data described in section 3 and can delete it at any time from your device's application settings.

8. Data security

All data stays within the App's private storage area, protected by the operating system's standard application sandboxing. Because nothing is transmitted or stored remotely, there is no server-side database that could be breached.

9. Changes to this policy

If a future version of the App introduces a feature that changes how data is handled — for example optional cloud backup or advertising — we will update this policy, revise the "Last updated" date above, update the Data Safety declaration on Google Play accordingly, and where required by law ask for your consent inside the App before the feature is enabled.
